Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME], doing business as Job Application Office ("JAO," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply when you use our website at JobAppOffice.com or buy our services. By placing an order or using our services, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

1. Who can use JAO

You must be 18 or older to buy or use our services. By ordering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information and job search are your own.

2. Our service

JAO provides job-search and application support. Depending on your package, this includes finding job openings that match the preferences you give us, preparing and customizing your resume and other application materials, submitting applications you authorize, and tracking their progress.

JAO is not an employer, recruiter or staffing agency, and we don't make or influence hiring decisions. Each package covers the number of applications you buy, as described on our Services & Pricing page.

We decide which openings are suitable based on your preferences and the openings available. We may skip openings we can't apply to properly, for example because a job site doesn't allow applications submitted on someone's behalf.

3. Your responsibilities

• Be accurate. Give us true, complete and up-to-date information about your education, work history, qualifications and preferences. We rely on what you tell us.
• Review your materials whenever we ask you to or give you the chance, and tell us promptly about anything that needs correcting.
• Only share what you have the right to share, and don't send information about other people without their permission.
• Stay reachable at the email address you give us, so we can send updates and questions about your order.
• Don't ask us to mislead employers, for example by inventing qualifications or experience. We may decline any request we believe is dishonest, unlawful or against a job site's rules.

4. Applying on your behalf

When you place an order and complete onboarding, you authorize JAO to prepare application materials and submit applications for you to openings that match your preferences, within the number of applications you bought.

Some job sites require an account to apply. Where that's needed, we'll let you know and agree with you how it will be handled. You remain responsible for any accounts in your name and for following the terms of the job sites you use.

You can change your preferences or stop further applications at any time by contacting us. Applications already submitted can't be withdrawn by us; you may need to contact the employer directly.

5. Packages, prices and payment

• Prices are per application, set by package size, and shown on our Services & Pricing page and before you pay. Your package rate applies to every application in your order.
• The price you pay is the price shown when you placed your order. We may change prices for future orders at any time.
• Payments are handled by our payment provider. We don't store your full card details.
• Any taxes or charges required by law will be shown before you pay.
• Buying a package never sets up recurring charges.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel all or part of your order at any time. Refunds are covered by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: unused applications are refundable for 6 months, applications we've started or submitted generally aren't, and partial cancellations are re-priced at the package rate for the number of applications used.

7. AI tools

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help proofread and draft application materials. AI can make mistakes, so please review your materials whenever you're given the chance. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when AI tools are used.

8. Get Discovered

Get Discovered is an optional program that shares your profile with partner recruiters and employers, who may pay JAO for access. It's off unless you choose to join, it doesn't affect your service or price, and you can leave at any time. See section 4 of our Privacy Policy for details.

9. Emails from us

By ordering, you agree that we can email you about your order and applications. We may also send occasional marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link in any of them.

10. Your materials and our content

Your materials stay yours. You own your resume and the information you give us. You allow JAO to use, copy and adapt them only as needed to provide our services to you, including preparing and submitting your applications.

Application materials we prepare for you are yours to use for your own job search.

The JAO name, logo, website design and website content belong to JAO and may not be copied or used without our permission.

11. Using our website

Please don't misuse our website. For example, don't attempt to break or overload it, copy it with automated tools, send spam through our contact form, or use it for anything unlawful.

12. Employers and other websites

Employers, job sites and other services we interact with for you are independent of JAO. Their decisions, websites, terms and privacy practices are their own, and we aren't responsible for them.

13. No guarantee of results

JAO does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment, responses from employers, or any particular outcome. Results depend on factors outside our control, including employer decisions, your qualifications and market conditions.

We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and as far as the law allows, our services and website are provided "as is", without other promises or warranties.

14. Limits of our responsibility

As far as the law allows:

• JAO is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost job opportunities or lost earnings.
• JAO is not responsible for problems caused by inaccurate information you give us, by employers, job sites or other outside services, or by events beyond our reasonable control.
• Our total responsibility for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for our own negligence, misconduct or fraud, or any responsibility that can't legally be limited. If something goes wrong because of our mistake, our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how we'll make it right.

15. Ending or pausing service

We may pause or stop providing services if you break these terms, give us false information, ask us to do something dishonest or unlawful, or misuse our website. If we stop your service and it isn't due to a serious breach of these terms, we'll refund any unused applications at the price you paid.

You can stop using our services at any time. Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our services or legal requirements change. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. The version in effect when you placed your order applies to that order, unless the law says otherwise.

17. Resolving disagreements

If you're unhappy with our service, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to put it right. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this section removes any consumer protection rights you have under the laws where you live.

18. General

• These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the full agreement between you and JAO about our services.
• If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
• You may not transfer your order or these terms to someone else without our permission.
